Museum Purchase
Juliana Busbee, the founder of Jugtown Pottery, purchased this teapot and the other objects in this case during her visit to Bachelder's pottery in 1916. It was during that year that she wrote: "I would rather have my Bachelder teapot, that is a warm brown with soft green glints all over it, than the most elegant one that could be bought".
