Although she began her career as a noted model and fashion photographer in the 1930s, towards the end of her life, Eva Pennink turned to collage as her primary form of creative expression. Cheekily combining sources from art history and contemporary culture, Pennink created juxtapositions of figures and objects that are both thought provoking and humorous. The Mint Museum held the first museum exhibition of her collages in 1975.
